An afternoon in Banbury

Went to Banbury for the fist time today. Nice town with lots of err nail shops (we saw 6, weird). Needed to drop off some dry cleaning and foxy needed to get a job for Christmas to stop her giggling like a small child whilst reading Russell Brands book 2 (refuse to call it by its stupid title). Anyway Banbury is worth a visit just don't get lost!

iphone fun and internet downloads...

Well the girlfriend has now left me jealous of her new iPhone ios 5 update, plus having made a complete mess of my contacts I have decided it is time for a phone clean up. This is not always easy on a boat as most software updates require huge downloads, in this case a couple of gig. Don't even think about trying this on a dongle as it wont work. This is where we need to find a friendly pub with wireless (be warned most don't like big downloads!).

Have visited 'The Wharf Inn' Fenny Compton, on the Oxford for this task. A boat friendly pub with good WiFi for a change (also with laundry and shop http://thewharfinnfennycompton.co.uk/).

After leaving the poor GF wiring lighting.... sorry.... the backup and upgrade begins. Various local people in this Sunday and what a beautiful day. Saw Chris from Wrens Nest enthusiastically cutting wood earlier which has got me in a kindling cutting frame of mind for this evening by using the boat light for a bit of flood lighting as dark already at 4.30 bah humbug.
